Fishing Iin Chiangmai

Featured Replies

When I lived in UK I was a keen freshwater angler, though I can't say I caught anything major

However, I enjoyed lazy days by the river or lake watching a float or ledgering, whilst sipping a beer.

I'm not a 'sports' fisherman and not into spinning or livebaiting etc for giant fish.

After moving to Thailand 10 years ago I gave it up, but have always missed it. Now as I reach my 70th decade I would like to take it up again. The problem is I don't know if there are any nice places in Chiangmai or surrounds that I can fish. If you are a freshwater angler you will understand the type of angler I am and if you have any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks very much

Here are some links you can look at. Sorry the first link is in Thai but looks useful. If you have a Thai who can look at it if you can't read it.

Thanks for such a quick response.

Do you know if it's legal to fish The Ping (or worthwhile)?

Thanks
