scotty123456789
Two of my friends are traveling to Thailand in a few weeks, there going for around six weeks and obviously they will need to apply for a tourist visa, or of some sort. But talking to them the other day, they have said they have only booked 1 way tickets, and will buy a return ticket when they feel like coming home. Will they have a problem at passport immigration as they have no return ticket?? Cheers. Scotty..
Jingthing
They should be OK boarding the airplane as long as they really do hold tourist visas, but they should call their airline to be 100 percent sure. That is the issue, not Thai immigration. If they fail to get the tourist visas, there is a great chance they will never be let on the airplane. JohnC
I understood tourists do not need a visa , they get a 30 day stamp permission to stay on arrival, prerequisite is a return ticket out of the country. Outside of that if they want to stay longer they need to apply to a Thai embassy in their home country for an appropriate visa. Remember airlines gets financial penalties if they bring someone in who is not in possesion of the correct paperwork and as already stated they should check with them before they arrive at airport!
