Staying In Thailand - Re-entering On A Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'll be arrivin g on 28th November in Bangkok from dublin and will be staying a week before heading off around the SE asia region travelling. I am returning home from bangkok roughly 4 months later. Will i have any problems entering country on 28 as my ticket shows me leaving 4 months afterwards and i have no visa. some one mentoined having a plane ticket leaving country

Most likely no problem entering Thailand, but a problem at check-in at Dublin airport. The airline will probably not let you board without either a visa or a confirmed onward flight out of Thailand within 30 days from your arrival.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

I've never had any problems with airlines wanting to see a visa before letting me on their planes from the UK. The worst case scenario is when you arrive at Suvarnabhumi and hand in the Thai immigration card, that you will fill in on the plane en route, and hand it with your passport over to the the person granting you entrance into the Kingdom. They will look at your departure date (4 months later) and will absolutely, definately, 100% expect to see a visa stamped in your passport.. if you don't have it, you could (or more than likely, certainly) be refused entry into Thailand.

The onward ticket is definately a way around this..
