Schooner Posted October 23, 2007 Share Posted October 23, 2007 My wife (thai) and I are planning a return to Thailand in Feb 08 for about 3 months of traveling and sight seeing and we want to rent a late model pickup with the large cab and prefer automatic. I own a home in Pattaya (rented) and have lived in Thailand for a couple of years and have a Thai drivers license so I am experenced with driving in Thailand. I suspect, though do not know, that Bangkok will be more expensive. I recommend Jon at Q-Cars. www.qcars.net or google it. The last one I got off him for a month was a Toyota Hilux with back cover, 4 door 3.0L automatic and at a very good price. He will deliver in Pattaya and thus makes an excellent case, especially seing the length of time you will be here, to get in a taxi to your house in Pattaya, have some sleep and pick the truck up the next day.
