I don't want to pick up one of these "Tourist" Sims at the airport if its going to automatically expire after 1 month etc

Can I pick up a "normal" Sim in Central Festival in Pattaya or wherever. I've got "short codes" from the past for data plans etc that I know still work ?

You can buy different Sim cards of True in every 7/11. Also in every small telecom shop. Of course also AIS network, these ones you will however not get in 7/11. Also True and AIS have own shops in every shopping center.

I use AIS post-pay and it's been good for 26 years. I pay with the K-Bank app, click on the AIS logo, enter my number, see the charges and click pay.

You can pay in advance also.

Yes pain in the backside and had the Sim since 2011

Entirely my fault but sort of had other things on my mind with heart issues

The individual number itself not important because any chats are via Line and Whatsapp anyway

Just need it for Sim Data and register it with SCB banking

My SIM is a 4 year old True tourist SIM. But it's fine for me. Unlimited data at 235b/month and current balance valid for 340 days. The only issue is if needing to make actual phone calls, which are 5b/min. Even that can be resolved with a one off call package if needed.

It's a recurring monthly package, 235.4b to be precise. Can be cancelled at any time.

You might find that they don't want to sell you a normal SIM without adding a useless package. In that case, have your short code ready for the package that you actually want.

The one I always use is 300 Baht (inclusive) for 80gb fast speed a month and in the remote chance I go through 80gb the connection stays on at lower speed for rest of the month...as I'm on wifi at Condo or hotel have never got through the 80gb anyway....doubtless there are cheaper stand alone month by month packages subscribing when you need it

As you can go to Central Festival, there should be an official True Shop. I think on the 3. floor. Go there and ask in person if you can reactivate your old card. If not, buy a new sim cardd (or eSim) and register it with your passport (take your passport with you). Educate yourself before what deals you can get online on the true website.

555, it seems to me that they never remove old plans but simply promote new ones offering less at higher prices. I've been on my unlimited recurring plan for ages but for sure it's not advertised now and I've no record of the code I used to order it.
