Bulge in underpants betrays steroids

CUSTOMS has seized 500 tablets from a passenger at Melbourne International Airport after he allegedly tried to smuggle banned steroid concealed in his underpants.

An Australian man was stopped by Customs officers after arriving on a flight from Thailand yesterday, Customs said.

A Customs officer noted a bulge around the man's groin area during a frisk search.

The man allegedly pulled two socks from his underwear containing a total of approximately 2500 steroid tablets.

A 31-year-old man from Glenroy in Melbourne is due to appear in court on a date to be set.

He faces a fine of $110,000 and five years' imprisonment.

National Investigations Manager Richard Janeczko said the action was part of an ongoing national crackdown by Customs on the smuggling of performance and and image enhancing drugs into Australia.

But if he has been taking steroids in those amounts for a long time, he would have lots of spare room in his pants!

I think once he gets in prison it will be the back end that will see all the action!

They will give him a stiff sentence.

At least he didn't swallow them!!!

What a pain!!!... Now I will be profiled and suspected every time I fly!!!

I would have thought that the bulge would have been much bigger coming into Thailand, not leaving Thailand.
