Paleface
What documents are needed for license renewal?
Limbo
Two small pictures, nose in front, ears at the sides. Copy passport and visa. That's it. Good luck! O yes, and don't forget to bring your old drivers license! Unless you changed address in the mean time, then you need more of course.

Paleface
Medical certificate?
jayenram
Medical certificate - yes. Available for bht 30.00 at your local friendly clinic. If you have your proper number of arms, legs and eyes there will be no need for an actual examination.
Simbo
And letter from Immigration confirming residence. I've just renewed and had to leave a long queue to go to Soi 8. 400 baht,I think. On returning, the queue was endless. Frustrating to say the least.

Simbo
Yes, it's true. I have just renewed in Banglamung office. Medical certificate and confirmation of residence. I'm over 60, so I'm not sure if the med is for a certain age

I'm over 60, so I'm not sure if the med is for a certain age Thanks, must be another red-tape thing and probably evry office different. My son renewed his licence 2 weeks ago in BKK, which was expired in 2002. At first no problem, but a superior realized and gave a bit of trouble because too late. That's when he showed in addition to non-imm visa, p/port and copies plus pictures an EU-licence plus IDP and of course the old licence. He had to make another color test and got a 5-years licence without problems, after the test within 45 minutes.
