Best Cd For Listening To Spoken Thai?

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a CD/s for listening and learning Thai? I have some experience with the language (speaking). I do not want to learn the script - yes, I am aware it is the best way to learn. I just have to get my Thai back above 300 words - preferably more.

My level is - advanced chit chat. I started to make my flashcards yesterday and think I can gain about 5 words a day if I put my mind to it.

I had a look at the Becker beg Thai. It has a lot of script and I am not crazy about the way the lessons are set up BUT I did see a spoken Thai by the same author (CDs 1-3). It peaked my interest as the Thai 4 beg comes well recommended - I am hesitant becasue maybe its too basic. the intermed and advanced are sort of weird as well... thai proverbs (sounds cool but really advanced in a way).

Bookazine had a few other systems w/ CDs as well. I was not oberly impressed with the look or the price.

Anyway, the goal here is listening. I am making flashcards and will practice w/ native speakers when I can. The manager in my flat also gives me help every day also, he teaches English (but does not want to take my money for Thai lessons).

Finally - I googled Thai verbs and found some meager lists. Does anyone know of a really great super-list of Thai verbs beyond the basic stuff of course.

Thank you!

There are 3 programs for download which you can find on "ThaiVisa" store:

1). "SpokenThai" kit - 14,000 audios.

2). "Click2Thai"

3). "QuickThai"

All three include human female voice and phonetics. The last two have also Thai script.
