Sterling Vs Baht

Recommended Posts

Can someone explain when the baht has gone from about 40 to the $ down to around 30 - the sterling exchange rate is always around 70 even though sterling vs $ has varied between under 2 to now about 2.07 ?

end of 2005 GBP was not "under 2" but 1.7150 :o

so if Thailand wants a stable exchange rate - they should consider tracking the pound / euro ? With a declining dollar coutries in S/E Asia must be v concerned about their reserves etc ?

Just tell them ... they probably did not think about this.

Naka.

GBP/THB has gone from 76 to 69 and over the same time span USD/THB has gone from 40 to 34. Add in the other part of the picture which is that GBP/USD has gone from 1.70 to 2.06 and it all makes sense really.
