After a long conversation with my wife, I am now wondering if a Farang ( British ) who is married to a Thai, and has a Thai step

daughter, if its possible to in some way have the step daughters surname changed to the step fathers surname,

so then the whole family would have the same ( Farang ) surname, assuming the Thai wife changers her surname name

once married to the farang, .......so here’s my question...

What benefits if any, would there be if the Thai step daughters name was changed to the farangs surname ....?
