i am looking for some advice. i will be applying for a visa for my thai long term b/f. i am sure our paperwork is in good order but am not sure if I should state he is my b/f or just friend? can anyone please advice?

I don't know if you're a boy or a girl, (or whether that makes a difference to the embassy - it shouldn't!!) so our situation might be different but i'm a girl and also am trying to get a UK visit visa for my thai boyfriend. I'm new to this, so others may know more, but i would say be honest. Otherwise it's too easy to get caught out later.

As said, be honest, as you are likely to be offering yourself as the sponsor it is best not only to say he is your b/f but also to prove it.

Yep and you never know you may get married in the future so it will prove your relationship status ovetime...

Also, if you don't disclose the relationship, the visa officer might wonder why on earth he wants to go to the UK.
