Buying An All Terrain Vehicle (atv)

I am in the process of registering a 500cc Polaris ATV for use on the road. We provide ATV's modified as all terrain fire vehicles and this one has been purchased as a fire fighting First Strike unit for a municipality.

Basically the laws here in Thailand demand an ATV has to be registered as a car, this includes (1) Fitting a roof (2) Fitting a windscreen with wiper motor and washer blades (3) fitting seat belts (4) Having head lights main/dip (5) Rear lights tail and brake and (5) turn lights front and rear.

In short look at a Tuk Tuk and see your ATV

Alright, so basically this is probably why nearly every ATV I've seen in Thailand is without numberplates :o

I've seen them for sale all over but with very few of the things you've just mentioned (lights and indicators).
