anyone up for some ping pong? I'm free on week days after 3pm.

Martin at the FC used to have a table tennis table, and not a bad player he was too. Don't be fooled by his girth, he can certainly bounce that ball around the place.

Although you have to buy them a drink first, and it's a little more expensive. :o

Sorry.........not interested in anyone calling it ping-pong :D and don't forget,I've never been beaten yet in Surin, although one guy was so good he took a leg off me. :o

Martin: All this talk about table tennis stirred my embers completely . Have been thinking about buying a ping pong table and went on-line on google to find everyone over 900 dollars. I was dumb-founded ( I guess you lads say gob-smacked) and a bit disappointed since our current volunteer asked us what she could buy for the kids here at the orphanage. I had thought about football goals for the lads and or a new badminton net for the younger kids. Then I saw your post about table tennis and I was told "find one and I'll buy one for the kids." Just as I was getting ready to get in the car and cruise around Buriram in hopes of finding a table or of finding a place to order one I asked my 18 year old where he thought we could get one. What surprised me was there was a shop on Nivas Road (Sawatdee Panit Bookstore) that had them for 4,500 baht. We got one this morning and I am bent over from chasing the ball along the ground. Can't wait to get home and see the kids faces when they see that beauty placed in the center of our covered driveway. Now I want to get one for the school we sponosor at Ban Yoei Sakae (142 kids) and will start saving my satang to get one for them. Great past-time even if I have to run around to find the ball. We will be bringing 24 tourists to Surin in Februry--mostly high schoolers and college kids from China, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, the UK and the US to go elephant riding. In the past we always stopped at Chester's for a western dinner. Then I saw you adds with those huge hamburgers. No more Chesters! FC here we come!

I havn't heard from you about the seperate entry I put on the web-site for your orphanage yet. Is it enough?
