LadyinRed
On the sides of the main road in Chaofa is rising a slow tide. Any other areas prone to dangerous / obstructive flooding?
Wolfie
Last year was funny, when Chao far road turned into Chao far river... But seems ok around Chalong at the moment, and with the new storm drains they are putting in near the new honda shop should help with things a bit. igotworms
No problems up here in the Bangtao area as of yet. Only been here a year and a half though. Are we talking about flooding as of now? Or in the past?

fatter than harry
I was also told that during low season the cliff faces on Patong + Kamala + Kalim starts raining rocks as well. True or not true? True!* *Not true, there are a few landslides when it gets really wet for a few days running, but only in areas where you drive by and think to yourself "That land looks like it might slide if there was a whole loada rain for a whole buncha days", but no raining rocks. igotworms
Debris can make those hills even more treacherous. Especially if your on a bike with a mammoth bus breathing down your rear; trying to avoid the debris and the anxious bus can add a little bit of stress. When first entering Patong from Kamala, the sand layered on the road beside the sea can be fun on a bike if you're not prepared for it. But hey, I rambling.
