This has always been one of my favourite shows on UBC ( though there is not that many to choose from :D ).

It's always nice to hear Richard Keys' opinions . He is the number one guy back home when it comes to football shows and I listen to his views with a bit more respect as to when I'm listening to the views of the other guys on UBC ( shebby , masefield , reeves and even mcmahon :o ).

A few good ( real :D ) stories told on the show by Keys. The one that caught my attention the most was that Ruud Van Nistelrooy was only a few hours away from signing for Chelsea until Mourinho changed his mind himself and bought Schevchenko. I always thought it was Abramovic who wanted Scheva in but it turns out it was Mourinho who had the final say , and the same for Ballack.

Keys also said that without a doubt Mourinho should be the next England manager and that the former special one might just be arrogant enough to take on a 2 year contract with the F.A.

A great show and a good reason to stay in on a Friday night ( save going out for Saturday :D ).

Agreed, its a great programme.

Are you sure you heard Keys correctly.

I was watching the same programme (admittedly not paying full attention) and I thought the point being made was that Abramovich IS the main decision maker in the signing of ALL players, and the point in case was Shevchenko and Ballack. I would like to see a re run or maybe someone else saw the programme?

I'm pretty sure that it was the way I said Jack but I wouldn't mind seeing a repeat myself now :D:bah: .

It suprised me to learn that is was actually Mourinho's decision to bring in Scheva and Ballck and not Abramovic as we were all led to believe , and I'm sure Keys wouldn't state the obvious as there would be no story in that.

As I said I wasnt paying full attention, but I thought they were talking about Avram and the fact that most Chelsea fans thought he was sh#te, then that led to the fact that he was ideal as it was really Abramovich who was running the show, and then the referral to Shevchenko?

I must say I find Richard Keys an annoying little git. That silly laugh is most irritating. His use of the word Skipper is something from the era of The Hotspur of The Tiger. :o
