Osteopathy

Featured Replies

does anyone know if there is a market for a british trained osteopath in Hau Hin, bearing in mind there are many Thai massage places here. any info or feedback appreciated.

I see nobody has replied yet, but they may in a day or two. Your biggest problem would be a work permit. Physicians, therapists, masseuses, etc., may all be restricted to Thai citizens.

I've lived here around 3 years now & I have to say I doubt if there's much market for an independent osteopath here in HH, for as you say, there are are SO many massage places & most folk might not be willing to pay Western fees just to get western hands. However, you might try one of the many hotels that have a good quality spa attached, like Chiva Som or Evason. The former used to employ a foreign fitness manager so you might have a chance. Worth trying, anyway!

Just check out the 5-star (cheaper hotels couldn't afford you) hotels, note which ones have a decent spa/health centre, & send them an application. OK?

Good luck, anyhow! :o
