I asked this question a couple months ago, but is there anyone out there who's ever gotten a Mexican tourist visa for their Thai gf? If not, can anyone make an educated guess whether the following requirements I found on the Embassy's website sound difficult to meet?:

the Embassy of Mexico in Bangkok appears to require that Thais reveal 1. Occupation (Employer's Name/Address, Monthly Income, Other Sources of Income) 2. Destination in Mexico (whether North or South Border regions) 3. marital status

There are of course other requirements, but these seem the most relevant/challenging ones. here's the link, the Application Form is at the bottom: http://www.sre.gob.mx/tailandia/serv_foreing.htm.

My gf has less than noble employment in Bkk, and her salary is small beside my contribution, but I'm wondering if some white lies would fly for the emloyment section of the form, as they don't appear to require the business's registration number. She does own land in her name in Ubon however, so that's a plus, but there's no where to put that on the form. ON the form there is a spanish section that says "For Official Use Only" and it appears to mention something about economic solvency, but I don't read spanish very well.

Any educated guess on the difficulty of this visa would be appreciated. We're going to visit the Embassy in BKK in a couple weeks, and we want to ask the right questions.

Wait... it looks like in addition to the above application form the Mexican Embassy requires 1. proof of fund (passbook/credit card) and 2. Letter from employer,

I don't know what that letter must contain.

The checklist 'for official use only' has 3 check marks (my translation)- "Credit Card? Si or No" , " Bank fund? Si or No", and "I credit economic solvency with property immobile, Si or No" I don't know what that last one means.. and "Observanciones"
