There is a group going to the Chaing Mai Bike week from Udon. They will leave on December 6th at 0600 from the Caltex Gas station on the Nung Bua Lamphu Highway in route to Lampang then to Chaing Mai the following day.

There's also a group (or a couple of groups) heading from Pattaya to Bangkok on the 5th for the King's birthday, and then up to Chiang Mai the next day.

Sounds cool, so we can look set for some free-wheeling biker visitor antics around Chiang Mai on the 6th and 7th December.

Have been to this event for the last 4yrs. and never seen much antics. Have also been to 20+ other biker rallies and again not much for antics.

Could you expand a little a say where you saw all these antics taking place?

Free-wheeling biking antics:

Bikers riding around the streets and roaring about to the wee hours. Wheelies, Stoppies and burn-outs getting pulled.

A few road races on the spur of the moment between locals and farang visiting bikers, dragster style and free-style.

Bar traffic increasing as the bikers come to chill out and drink a few bevys. Bar-fines and babes getting exchanged like the weather, Go-go bars seeing more business etc etc

Went down to the Mae Ping Hotel on Saturday night and enjoyed seeing all the bikes. Wow. Anyone hazard a guess on how many bikes were there, or on how many billion baht of bike capital was represented? There sure were some high end rides.

Took a few pics at the 3 organised events. Shame they were mostly poorly lit after dark shots.
