Licensed lawyers are able to notorize as well in Thailand.

As believe this is rather new wonder if you can expand or point to a reference as am sure there will be those looking for a cheaper way than their Embassy if available:

1. Any licensed lawyer? Or a selected list from licensed lawyers?

2. Method used? Stamp or signature? Both?

3. Legal status outside Thailand? Registration with MFA required? Sometimes?

You're right the embassies are quite expensive. I had a number of docs that needed to be notarized, asked one of our lawyers who stated they are able to notarize. Asked the company the papers in the States if this would work instead of the embassy? Their was no stamp involved. The lawyer just entered in their license number below their name.

I see a fair amount of lawyers are advertising this service "notary public"
