Khao Daeng, related to Thong Daeng.

Its one of those dog events where the dogs do all sorts of athletic activities, like climbing walls, going through tubes and naturally, walking a high wire. :o

Anyone here have a dog this well-trained?

not quite but nala the boxer bitch used to do walking in a barrel (the children's playground version), walking on a see saw ans reversing direction, and other agility stuff (its called agility), climbing rope ladder (used to partially climb ladder to daughter's loft)... injured right front shoulder so stopped all unnecessary jumping ....its great fun for the dogs, (dogs that dont enjoy this dont do well or just refuse to do the stuff)and the people, as u have to work as teams...

agility is great fun; when i first read about it in the net, i set up my own jumps and things here; i scrounged around and from junk i created a whole agility run for nala. i was the only one in this part of israel except the canaani dog breeder myrna (ex american).... we tried setting up a club but no takers...that was 10 yrs ago (nala is aging at the ripe old age of 11)

now, in the larger metro cities (not us in jerusalem :o ) agility has caught on but not big... ; surprised its caught on in thailand. maybe cause its sanook? here, the people (mostly men in the dog training field) prefer, surprise, the army/shutzhund stuff which i dont like...

and people here prefer the big asian type dogs which are difficult enough to train. for agility u need a light on his/her feet dog, with intelligence, wanting to please personality , like working as team... perfect for boxers, and medium size dogs with a want-to-please attitude.

You should see our 3 legged mut trying to stand on 2 legs. That's nothing special I hear you say. It is when the legs are on the same side and he's trying to cock his leg. I don't know what happened for him to lose a leg, he came to us like that. However you would think after 4 years he would have had worked things out by now.
