Hi guys,

I'm arriving in 10 days :o:D

But unlike a recent poster I'm not a twenty something female

English teacher, so I guess I won't get quite as many replies :D

It would be nice however to get out and about and meet like minded folk.

I play the guitar a bit and would quite like to find an acoustic jam session

I could strum along with. (like playing Neil young to current)

Also play the accordion (sorry!) and would likewise like to find

somewhere to join in where I won't get publicly stoned for doing so.

Like playing English folk and would love to get into Irish too.

Quiz nights? love em, as long as there's not too many sports or music questions!

Looking forward to meeting you all . . .

Will probably start off at Tuskers and maybe the Red Lion? . . . .

See you soon :D

Greetings,

Believe you can find a thread in the TV archives that dealt with some jam session sites in town.

As far as Quiz Night- stop by Tuskers on Monday evening (next one is Jan. 7th)around 8:00.

Our team (Underdogs) can use another UK player to help us figure out some of the

British trivia questions. Quiz has nice balance of topics so you should enjoy it, as well as

the good food and drink. Hope to see you. JOHN

You'd be very welcome at The Garden, Rachadamnoen Rd, a few doors west of the traffic lights, close to Writers Club Wine Bar, especially on Tuesday nights. Tuesday night is folk night (unplugged, English, Irish & Aus), and as we have an Aussie squeezebox man why not an accordion too? Sunday night (during 'Walking Street') is blues. Ask for proprietor Tim (guitar & banjo).

Tuesday nights at 'the Garden' guest house. We have guitars, banjo, mandolin, flute, button accordion, tambourine, etc. We generally get rolling between 7:30-8:pm and play British and American folk, some blues, 'easy listening' rock, and just generally have a good time. No extra points for skill, but there is quite a bit present. Come on down!
