Admin Accounts Windows Xp

Featured Replies

I tried adding a guest account to my pc but before I could add one I was prompted to first add a computer administrator account. I quickly created one of those along with my guest account. Now I only have the two accounts, what about my original account I have always used with my custom setup and all my shortcuts and folders on my desktop. Is there anyway to get my original user account back. I have tried deleted the guest account which works but I am unable to get rid of this new computer admin account. Any suggestions would be great.

Ive managed to get back into my original Admin account but now it wont allow me to delete the new account I created. So everytime I now login Ill have to login to my admin account a different way.

A couple of techniques:

Log into the Administrator account (normal windows startup). Go to start==>Control Panel==>Administrative Tools==>Computer Management==>

Local Users and Groups==>Users and delete any users you would like removed.

or

Click on Start

Click on Run

Type "control userpasswords2" and click OK

Select the user account you wish to remove

Click on the "Remove" button.
