Well it's not actually the busiest now, but it is still close I agree.

Of course Hong Kong and Changi (especially) are better than Suvarnabhumi. It's Thailand..... :D

To be quite honest though the UK has no excuse, its the 6th largest economy in the world. LHR is misery for the traveller. Any time I see a hiccup in BKK I just think how much worse it is flying into or out of London, and it puts matters into perspective. :D

Heathrow is still the World's busiest airport for international passengers.

Atlanta and Chicago are both busier airports but most of their passengers are domestic travellers.

:o

Errrrr.......yes.... and your point is??

Don't tell me.. Swampy is a complete nightmare?????? :D

I have used BKK 15 to 20 times since it opened, for both domestic and international travel. And I am proud to say that I used it the day it opened as an arrival passenger, though I only had hand baggage.

I have only encountered 1 problem, and that was a 30 minute wait at immigration.

So many people complain about the "Long Walk" from certain piers.

It may be worth their while checking out the "travelators". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travelator

You can't park aircraft like you can park cars. They need space.

Perhaps the whingers would like a "multistorey aircraft park". All they would need is escalotors or lifts.

Just be thankful that everything is in one building. Unlike Don Muang.

The walkway between the 2 terminals was hot, sweaty, narrow and had no travelators.

It is imho BKK isparadise in comparison to LHR.

LHR is an embarassment to BAA.

Check in and security is pretty quick. Unless you get "sexually assaulted" as ET stated he was. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?sh...9&hl=sexual Well worth a read.

I can get the duty free's that I want at a better price than I can where I currently reside.

The airport staff always seem to have a smile (Except Immigration). I have had many a laugh with so called "taxi touts". The food outlet prices are reasonable. I have always managed to find a seat for my wife and I, if needed.

I've never had a problem finding toilet facilities. There are sufficient smoking rooms.

But there are TOO MANY WHINGERS.

:o Agreed. The Emporer is Victor Meldrew personified. He had a good wanding at Swampypoom (enjoyed or not? who knows) and now is saying LHR travel experience is the best thing since sliced bread
