Nordlys Posted January 2, 2008 Share Posted January 2, 2008 (edited) Because unlike most other Japanese brands they are not assembled in Thailand and only available as import, and thus subject to high duty tariff and VAT (not to mention 30% + excise tax) costing three times as much as how much they're available in Japan, it not more.
