SBPAC establishes Peace School

The Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC) has launched the Peace School for state officials in the deep South to improve their work performance so they can address the regional problems while developing the local communities effectively.

The SBPAC Director-General, Mr. Pranai Suwannarat (พระนาย สุวรรณรัฐ), says the Peace School will enable police, army and administrative officials who are working in the southernmost provinces to understand the problems in the region more extensively. They would be able to identify the roots of the ongoing southern insurgency. Besides, they would learn the local culture and traditional way of life of southerners.

The Peace School’s first orientation will take place on January 7th. A total of 960 officials, divided into eight groups, will study in this institution.

Mr. Pranai says the Internal Security Operations Center, Region 4 will look after the military officers who will study in the Peace School.
