sbk Posted January 5, 2008 Share Posted January 5, 2008 Russian tourists slightly hurt in boat accident in Thailand04.01.2008, 21.12 BANGKOK, January 4 (Itar-Tass) -- Several Russian tourists were slightly hurt during a boat trip in northwestern Thailand on Thursday, a source at the Russian embassy told Itar-Tass. “The embassy keeps contact with the authorities of the Kanchanaburi province [130 kilometers away from Bangkok] where the accident occurred. A consular officer keeps contact with the injured Russians,” he said. The province is located in the highlands. The River Kwai is its major tourist attraction.
