Happy Dtac......help Needed

Featured Replies

Pattaya...........a friend asked me to help him buy a computer from Tuk.com mall, found one ok and its getting delivered to his home tommorow.............now heres the problem,

He wants to connect to the net via bluetooth, he has a nokia with Happy Dtac card in it.

How does he go about it?

Ive got him a bluetooth usb dongle and if it was one2call in the phone i could sort it out by phoning *138 getting him a package and putting the neccesary software on the computer.....................however i cant see any such contact number for Happy Dtac after a search here and googling it.

Only one i could find was 1678 the call center number...........is it just a question of phoning that and sorting a package out?

Also what is the "magic" number you put in the dial up box on the connect box on the computer..........i.e like *99***1# (or whatever it is for one2call)

Thanks in advance.

You got it right on both counts. I renew weekly and call 1678 and tell them I want 7 days unlimited GPRS. A minute or two and an SMS will arrive informing you it is done. The connect number is correct also, though in my case it seems to be *99***10# but don't think the 1 or 10 is critical. Just make sure his topup is enough to cover the cost of the GPRS which is about 276 Baht + VAT.

If he uses the Nokia PC Suite and use the connection wizard it will figure out the number details for him.

Not too sure about your mobile phone but....

Call 1678 and make sure you have another phone line where they could call you back and get you connected step by step.

I seem to remember before I started using DTAC GPRS I had to call them to activate it. They send an SMS to the phone which will configure it. Call the 1678 number and ask them.

I have a samsung d900 and just used the samsung studio to connect to dtac (*99#) i dont have a package as I only use dtac as a fall back therefore nothing needed activated, it works fine.
