Well, a minivan service (straight ahead to your right after arrivals) meets every flight. 150 baht to the "Bridge". If you want to do it on the cheap and really slowly go to Udon bus station (that in itself wont be cheap so lets get back on track). Buy your visa, unless you have one already for Laos once out of Thailand at the immigration entry point ( 10-15 baht bus takes you there after you exit Thailand) and then ....well, negotiate your way into Vientiane with the taxis/tuk-tuks after that. We usually get a tuk-tuk for 100-150 baht from there into town which takes about 30 minutes.

Many people are going now to Vientiane for a Visa.

It would be useful, methinks,to Pin the right information, about how to do it.

I've read many answers to this question, most incorrect.Lop? please.

From my perspective, there's no 'right information' to go to Vientiane for a Visa.

There are plenty of ways of going to Vientiane for a visa. Are you referring to transport, accommodation, or consulate related issues?...Or the whole thing?

Unless you're wondering 'how to apply for a visa' correctly , the embassy website will have information regarding the requirements to submit an application for your visa.
