OK, this has been brought up before, but I'm looking for recent experiences or ideas.

I have a check drawn from a US investment firm in US dollars that I need to deposit. They can not wire money, and I do not have a US account in which to deposit the funds.

Can anyone recommend the fastest and cheapest way to clear this check and get the money?

SIAM bank takes around one month. Probably not the info you are after though. I forget the charge either 20 or 40 American, I forget.

Standard banking practice dictates that it will take 30 days to clear. The charges will be US$20 minimum (some banks charge a flat fee, others a % with a minumum)
