Have 90 Day Non B - Applying For 1 Year Non B

Featured Replies

I have a work permit :o from a company that has the required capital (4 mill I think) that would allow me to apply for a 1 year non imm visa. (I have a 90 day now.). However it took forever to get the work permit and now that I finally have it after over 2 months, my 90 day visa is soon expiring (the 28th but have to be in the labour office to renew by the 23ish)> I went to immigration to apply for the 1 year with the accountant from our office. This was her first time doing this ....and they said the paper work was not right and to come back on monday.

however my question is:

How much time do I need to applly for the 1 year if my company qualifies (which they do as somone else has the 1 year). ? Can I get a 30 day extension while I wait for the 1 year process?

Or do i have to do another <deleted> visa run again?????????????

Thanks!

As long as you have all of you documents in order, you will recieve a months extension, then you will go back to the labour department and they will extend you work permit again..then in a month you will go back to immigration and you should get your years extension..

You must go back to the labour office before your visa expires each time and re-apply for a new work permit..

Thats how it worked for me,but that was a year ago and it does keep changing..

Good luck and keep calm,I used Thai solicitor that had not done it before and it was more painfull, but cheaper in the long run..

Have you registered yourself for you personal tax payments, that was what causght me out last year..you need,or did have to have paid one months tax..and showed the form..

Sorry I have assumed its your company..
