jonniebkk Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 The carnage contineus in the south of Thailand...heavy handed government repression of ethinic Malay majority results in the Southern insurgency. A quote from one of the army generals in the south: "This is a big loss for the army," Col Akara said. "It is one of our worst days. We will do our utmost to hunt down the killers." Question: Will they also do their utmost to find and punish the military murderers who killed over a hundred unarmed civilians at the Tak Bai, Krue Sae mosque, and Saba Yoi massacres!!! Over 3 years on...the people of the South are still waiting for justice. No Justice No Peace!
Scott Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Condolences to the families and friends of the soldiers killed. Sadly, two wrongs don't make a right and multiple wrongs aren't contributing to solving the situation in the south.

Any loss of soldiers lives is a tragedy, all over the world soldiers do their duty, attitudes like yours are despicable and only fuel the fires of racial and religous conflicts through out the world, but there again the cowardly bombing of complete strangers could always lead to peace. stiggy Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Jonnie bkk I find your making light with the amulet comment pretty much in bad taste. As soldiers they had no choice to be there at that time they are simply following orders. Violence is messed up however you look at it .
Thaiboxer Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 I don't think it's the insurgents who deserve justice....they're always the ones to appeal to Amnesty International or whoever and claim that they're the "victims". Who does justice for all the Thais who get killed there every day?
