Phil Conners
Anyone getting flu shots here? Is there a season for it? When does it start? Is it worth-while? I had a very bad flu last year and promised myself "never again". Does it need to be booked or can I just dump into Bangkok Pattaya and have a shot? Price? Any other hints/info that might be useful to know as part of the decision?
Phil Conners
Answers from Bangkok Pattaya: There are two strains: A "Southern Strain" which is active May-September and a "Northern Strain" which is active October-April. The Northern Strain virus will be available mid-October and cost 600 THB. This does not include the doctors fee for administering the shot (300 THB). No booking is necessary once the vaccine is available.

Phil Conners
Yeah and there are people who believe that prayers and tea can cure cancer and aids. Each to his, I'll take the shot.
