Thai Finally To Start Samui Service

Featured Replies

We'll just have to wait and see, it will certainly do no harm!

I saw this article on the Nations web site earlier today too, but have just tried to find it again and it has been wiped off their page without trace. I wonder why. ???? Did someone make a mistake by issuing the news bulletin too soon?

Anyway if the two airlines are negotiating the price then its gotta work out the same hasnt it? Apart from the price I dont think you can beat Bangkok Airways service so I do hope this doesnt start going down hill.

Thanks Tywais...if you re-read my post I did say that I had already seen the article earlier in the day but "now" it is nowhere to be found on the Nations web page. I just find that a bit suspicious.

Strange because the link that jocwaoh supplied above to the Nation shows the article for me.

Hi Tw

yeah I know it does but if you dont use the link but go onto "the nation" main web page I can no longer find it, yet it was there earlier in the day because that is where I originally read it. Anyway no matter aye.

I think, already 1 year before, Thai Airways was announcing its maiden flight to Samui-then suddenly cancelled.

Never ending story.....

"""Comments on a report in The Samui Express 23 Feb 2007

Originally planned to commence operation on 1st March with two flights a day, Thai Airways have, according to Koh Samui Tourist Promotion Association, decided that the landing costs imposed by Bangkok Airways are too high and have scrapped those plans."""""
