i can highly recommend anatachai (spelling?) guest house from 300 on up

decent to nice rooms, good service, kind proprietor, good cheap food

i am looking for other places on top of this

two years ago I was staying in a guest house about 100m south of the pier, air con/fridge/tv, bathroom 400baht. Might be more expensive now, and still there is high season.
