January 25, 200818 yr I have a Shell battery and car won't turn over. The battery only 1.5 yrs old. Car starts with a jump, but charging battery does not do any good. I want a good heavy duty battery as a replacement. If at home I would go to Costco, where do I go in Pattaya?
May 9, 200818 yr Look for a Panasonic, GS or 3K and don't bother with maintenance free ones if you want it too last any amount of time here.
May 9, 200818 yr A battery shop could be a good starting point. Very helpful. I'm sure the OP really appreciated it.
May 9, 200818 yr Do not buy a "maintenance free" battery in Thailand. The reason is that these batteries will allow vapours to escape, thus reducing the level of electrolyte. Since the batteries are sealed, you cannot replace electrolyte. As a general rule, never use "maintenance free" batteries in hot climates. Use normal batteries.
