It was clearly edited and it matters what was deleted and what the context of her testimony was. She spent some time complaining about not being able to communicate. Was this in reference to the lack of French language instruction in Springfield’s schools? Was she complaining about laws that allow three-day notice of eviction? Laws formulated by a Republican-controlled statehouse? Probably not, but we don’t know because of selective editing and lack of context. What else may be missing from her testimony? -

Having been both a speedboat operator and a rowboat/canoe/kayak operator, I can confirm that rowboats can change direction on a dime, and speedboats can't. It's not unusual for a slow boat to change direction unexpectedly and turn into the path of a speedboat, causing all kinds of problems. (It's the same with bicycles and cars) Regarding the semantics, it's probably an article from a source that's been translated to English, So I wouldn't get bent out of shape over word choice. -

Buying Thai Quota condo using a company name.
I bought land in my Thai daughter's name, or rather, I paid the asking price, and the chanote was put in her name. She was 20 at the time. I live in a condo where the foreign quota was oversubscribed so that went into her name as well. It's actually a relief to know I don't have to worry about those properties. Don't need to put them in a will, nor pay any death duty/inheritance taxes if such a thing existed here. -
