Renting A Stall At Night Bazaar, How Does One Get A Lease On A Spot?

How does one get a lease on a spot at Night Bazaar? They seemed fully booked, but how does one stake claim or get on the list? Always wondered this..

you need to know someone that owns the particular "spot" or area you want to be in. Then if you're lucky, it may come up for rental, but it would depend if you are in the owners favor.

So, if your not in the owners favor, it maybe better to offer higher rental or key money to get in. It is quite difficult to obtain a spot in the best locations of the market, as some stalls will be gone this year due to the opening of the Le Meridian hotel, and people will be scrambling to find a new stall, if they havent found one already. There a few owners that own several "spots" on where the stalls occupy, and they are quite wealthy, from owning spots that measure 1m x 2m approx.

You may find a spot further away from where the action is, that is, at either end of the market on Changklan rd, or the alternative is find a shop in the Kalare Center, Pavilion, or Chiang Mai Plaza, when it reopens. These alternatives will be more expensive.
