Well its the last time I'll see Thaivisa as a trusted reference then. Had a look around and this is the only website on the whole fvckin internet that says its a holiday today, tomorrow, and the next day.

Yeah that's a bit of a cock up. Many people see it as a holiday, if you look around today and tomorrow you will see alot of small businesses with their shutters down, but it is not an official public holiday.

Some big companies as well,with Chinese owners :o Even new year celebrations is canceled this year in Chiang Mai, sometimes I can't figure out whats going on in this country ...

If the family business is run by some with Chinese blood they shut. However banks and other national companies are open. Ranong is a Chinese town thus not a lot of shops open today.

That's right. Lots of Thai in Bangkok and some city in Thailand have Chinese blood and even very Thai like me we also would like to enjoy the holiday too, hahahaha .
