Visa On Arrival At Nakorn Phanom/thakhek Laos Checkpoint

Featured Replies

has anyone crossed into nakorn phanom thailand from thakhek laos?

im just wondering if ill get a visa on arrival and if i do, how long will it be?

also since im asking, vice versa. does laos give a visa on arrival when crossing into laos via thakhek from nakorn phanom. also is it a stamped visa or the sticker visa you get in vientiane

thanks

Yes used that border crossing several times.

You will get the normal 30 days visa exempt stamp, providing you are from a country that qualifies. If you are not from those 40 odd countries, then you are out of luck as paid visa on arrival is not available there. There is a link on the main page of thaivsia, which will list all countries that qualify for visa exempt.

The other way around, visa on arrival is available, duration 30 days, fee is depending on nationality. It's a full page visa + entry stamp.

Are you talking about a visa on arrival that mostly eastern european countries get when they come to Thailand. Where you fill out the application and wait while they process it? Or are you talking about a visa exempt entry?
