February 11, 200818 yr Hi Can anyone advise where I should go to renew my car tax (first time as I just bought the car last year and it was already taxed). Also, what is the prcedure and what documetns would I need? Thanks!
February 11, 200818 yr You need to take the Blue Book to the Transportation Office, not sure where you are located. Just had mine renewed. In Pattaya it is in the same office where you get your drivers license. If you have an old car you need to get it inspected first. Hope this helps.

February 12, 200818 yr you can also renew car tax at a post office , give them your blue book , show them the insurance and you get the tax sticker and blue book sent to your address within a week or so.
February 12, 200818 yr Author thanks everyone. So, I just need to take my insurance (I have first class) documents and blue book to the transprot office or post office. My car is only one year old so shouldn't need checked. Thanks!
February 12, 200818 yr Sorry chaps, a small but most important point - 1st, 2nd, 3rd Class insurance cannot be used to renew your vehicle/motorcycle tax, you need to take along the CTPL slip/receipt.
February 12, 200818 yr CTPL slip/receipt do you mean the compulsory govt. por lor bor insurance receipt ?
February 12, 200818 yr yes you need rec. for comp. ins. but the 1st class ins. agent can do everything for 100bht. not difficult.
