ponder
I invited a friend to Ireland last July and much to my amazement he was granted a visa within two weeks. He has now gone home, as scheduled. The next time I invite him here, is he now more or less guaranteed to get another visa and will he have to go through the same procedures again when he applies next year? Thanks. ponder
No, Ireland is not a Schengener state. In fact, I have only ever heard of Schengener on this forum. I am very ignorant! Thanks for your help.
the scouser
Hi Ponder, I would think that because he has complied with his conditions on this occasion then any subsequent visas are going to be straightforward to obtain. Perhaps applyfor a multiple entry next time to obviate the need to apply for a visa each time he visits you. Scouse.
