My favourite author is Charles Bukowski a well known, deceased, alcoholic. The way he commented on society almost made it crazy not to have a drink.....even though i'm sure his rough childhood,& fears had more to do with his excessive drinking,& was probably actually making his life hel_l drinking that much.

When I moved here I drank a lot more than I had been drinking. My average in Scotland was a bottle of vodka a day plus a few beers

Have you still got a Liver?

Funnily enough, as a gal, I find it A LOT easier here not to drink - there's no pressure. :o Perhaps cos many Thai gals also don't drink... :D

gave it up a few years ago, I now have more fun and enjoy life. And the Wife is a lot happier :o

I drink less days per week, I answered 2/3 but really it could be 1 or 2. because of where I live and the effort (relative) to get out to where my old mates are, I have a skinfull. If I start too late and the bar closes before I want to finish then I tend to move on and that could be a very late one. Therefore, I like to get started early and get home before the sun comes up.

Drank the most in my life when in Mallorca. We drank every day and nearly always to excess. We drank more when the tourists went home ! Would wake up sometimes when it was dark and I was young then.

Drank profusely at university but never affected my work except the odd missed lecture.

Most of my mother's family were alcoholics and I know I have a tendency to excess which luckily I manage to control far more than in my youth.
