19% Of Thais Are Undernourished According To The Wpf

Featured Replies

According to the WPF 19% of Thailand's population is undernourished!

India only has 2% more (21%) and Myanmar has only 5% of its total population without enough food to eat!

Can anyone explain how this can be within an abundant agricultural community such as Thailand?

There are alot of poor ppl in Thailand and alot of people struggle to put food on the table which would explain the high percentage.

But stats are usually BS anyways

Part of what is being blamed on this, is the weak US Dollar/strong Thai Baht. Rice is a staple food in all of SEA and it is also one of it's main exports. The farmer's can't afford to buy their own rice.
