Travel Warnings In The South?

Featured Replies

hello,

i'm a 34-year-old american. i have some family planning on visiting me next month in krabi and hitting koh jum, where i've been since november of last year. they are back in the states, freaking out about a newspaper article in the states about the muslim activity in the south. i have not been able to find anything current on the internet.

does anyone know anything about travel warnings in the south? i'm quite convinced it's as safe as can be, since we're not planning on going anywhere off the tourist track, but any info would be appreciated. i'd really like them to come, but they're getting cold feet.

thanks,

scott

Travel warnings are for the deep south next to the Malaysian border, not Krabi.

The weather forecast suggests warming in the south over the next couple of months or so..... :o

In the deep south there are only problems at the Pacific coast, not at all at the Andaman coast.

Classic Republican tactic in an election year....................

The terror alert...........

Things are fine where you are talking about, Scott, no worries, but as has been already stated the problem areas border Malaysia in the old Sultanate of Pattani.
