March 1, 200818 yr JAPAN! Yes, you read it right. Thank you, Toyota Japan. For 4 months now, I have had red plates on the pickup. Once a week after January we called and asked where when do we get the white plates. Next week would be the answer. Beginning of February, the answer was tomorrow tomorrow. I drive alot. I do get stopped by the cops after 6 pm and get harrazed by the boys in brown. I tracked down their hq fax in Japan and created a 2 page fax. The cover sheet said COMPLAINT in Japanese. A few hours later I get an email from them, apologizing for Thai Toyota and they had contacted them. Next day, reds get switched to whites. Now, begs the question. These yahoos at Pearl Phuket had these plates all along! <deleted> is going on with them?
March 1, 200818 yr I think that you did the right thing by going to Toyota Japan. I think that everyone should take the lesson here that if you, as a customer, are not getting satisfaction from your local multinational, complain to the head office. Of course you give the local plenty of chances to correct the situation and if they continually drop the ball, write to the head office. TheWalkingMan
