Zodiac
A couple of questions, firstly: When I come to apply for extension of my "retirement" visa for 1 year I will have about 5 months before my British Passport expires. Will that have any affect on my Visa Application? i.e. is there any Thai legal requirement on time remaining on passport for getting this visa? Secondly: does anyone know re getting a new British Passport if one can apply anytime for renewal even though maybe a year still to run on it? Many thanks in advance. lopburi3
You should obtain a new passport - in fact the UK provides extra time extensions to new passports to make up for the last time on the old one from reports. No excuse not to do early. You will not receive a one year extension of stay if your passport is not valid for one year (although have heard they will provide the remainder upon presentation of replacement).
