Cat Cdma To Be Discontinued?

hi

my friend told me that CAT CDMA service will be discontinued in a couple of months. i can't read the CAT CDMA web site (thai only) http://www.catcdma.com/cdma.html . does anyone have any info about this? CDMA is the only way i can get a decent connection right now.

thanks, i did. this is where my friend got the original info. thing is, there is nothing about it on the catcdma website and my wife just called CAT and that said CDMA is fine, there are no plans to discontinue it, at least in the south.

i'm interested because i'm thinking of upgrading to the EVDO version which gets over 1mpbs according to my friend.

I have never seen the EVDO network pull in 1Mbps.. Best speeds I have seen were 750ish kbps but I guess thats close.

Seems obvious the network will be upgraded to 3G hdspa etc later but its good for now.. Probably a year out also is my guess.
