Hi all!!

Just a simple question..

I`m from Sweden and going to Thailand for 2 months. Do I need a visa to enter Thailand? If I dont have, can they deny me entry?

And can the airlines stop you from travelling if you dont have a visa??

Thanks in advance!!

You do not need a visa to enter Thailand as you would qualify for visa exempt entry if you have an onward ticket within 30 days.

If you do not have a visa or ticket that could deny you entry but it would be highly unusual.

The airline could stop you and that would not be so unusual.

It is best to have a tourist visa if your trip is longer than 30 days.

Thanks for the quick answer Lopburi!!

But how usuall is it that the airlines refuse people without visa?

I\m swedish and fly with SAS, anybody heard something bad about them?

Thanks for answers..

It is kind of hit and miss. Some airlines seem to request it more than others, some airports seem to request it more. I have had airlines request it one time and not request it another time on the same route.

Best to call the airline and ask them.
