Hey

I'm a 21 year old Swedish citizen who came to Thailand 23rd of November. I have a double Tourist Visa (60+60 days) and now I have to extend my stay for 30 days at a valid immigration office. After that is it possible to get another month? As my flight home is schedueled for departure on the 23rd of May (which gives me a total of six months (180 days) in Thailand). I'm sure I'll get the five month but what about the last 30 days? 23rd of April -> 23rd of May? Is it possible to i.e go to Burma for a Visa run, and get the remaining 30 days, or do I need to pop down to Penang in Malaysia?

Hope to get an answer, if my explaination is a bit blurry, please say so and I try to explain as good as I can.

Main problem is: Got tourist visa for 60+60 days, will get another 30 days for 1900 baht at the immigration office. But I need yet another 30 days, which comes to the question 'how?'

You can only extend one entry 30 days at a time - it appears you did not extend your first entry and now have extended your second entry for 30 days. You can not extend more than 7 days beyond that date.

So yes - you can exit Thailand and enter other country and return for a 30 day visa exempt entry to cover you until your flight out. Be sure to carry your ticket with you in case it is asked for.

Be aware that 23 April to 23 May will be 31 days. Arrival and departure days count.

So you may have to extend your 30 day visa exempt entry by 7 more days at immigration.

Thanks for the quick answers!

Just got another question for you guys. If I decide not to go to the immigration office and instead do a 'normal visa run' to eg. Burma. Will I get 30 days there? (As this will be a cheaper option for me). So instead of extending my 30 days at the immigration office, I can get it from Burma? I'm thinking about the 'free' 90 days you get (30+30+30).

Yes you can go to Burma and get the 30 visa exempt entry on your return to Thailand. Not all crossings have immigration though, so you need to make sure the crossing you are going to has immigration.
