Is It Illegal To Drive With Headlights On In Daytime?

Featured Replies

On a related subject, i can't help wondering how much use there is in Thailand for fog lights, yet i see them being used - presumably for aesthetic reasons. Doesn't half blind you if you're coming in the other direction at night.

"Volvo, the intelligent car for stupid people!"

Next time you are on a long stretch of road in daylight, look to the horizon and spot the tiny motorcycle headlight a few km's away. Keep following it and you may also notice much later on a car that was there all along as well but couldn't be seen with it's headlights off. it's a proven fact, lights on saves lives and NO THEY DON"T RUN OFF THE F**^& CAR BATTERY!

I drive with mine on at all times and don't stop for lowlife thieving traffic cops anymore.

Just to add visual object perception tests show clearly that physiologically the eyes respond to the stimulus of a light source, even in bright daylight, more quickly. Therefore the daylight running lights {21w} on cars and the use of dipped headlights on bikes.

However, here, at least by convention, I don't know if this is the 'letter of the law' only an offical convoy {military or 'personages'} is permitted to use headlights during the day, or as has been noted in military areas, ironically for exactly the reason given above, the vehicle is seen quicker.
